To celebrate one year since we opened our doors officially last year, we’d like to invite all our customers, friends and partners to join us for a series of events and activities:
Celebrate with a Sale
There will be a 20% off sale of ALL NURSERY STOCK ALL DAY!
Plants & Partners
We will have a series of booths and tables where you can meet many of our partners and local suppliers. You can stop by any and all of the tables to learn more or just chat with these fascinating folks about what they love to do. They will be around from noon to 5pm.
- Adam Bigelow of Bigelow’s Botanical Excursions. Adam is also going to present a workshop on August 17th, and his band will join us for our August Bare Root festival on August 24th.
- Alarka Expeditions is a Cowee-based guide service owned by Brent and Angela Faye Martin. They will also be back later in the year to host a special Bartram-inspired evening at their home as well as Bartam talks and information at the Nursery.
- Carolina Native – a specialty grower – where we get many of our fine selection of North Carolina native plants.
- The Franklin Bird Club is a loosely organized group of locals who love birding. Stop on by and meet them!
- Mainspring Conservation Trust – The land trust for our very special region – talk to them about their ongoing projects and to get advice on your own property.
- Piedmont Carolina is one of our favorite plant partners who supply plants locally to our nursery.
- Sunshine Mountain – Robert, from Sunshine Mountain, who’s just up the road from us, provides the Nursery with many of our superb quality quart- and gallon-size perennials, succulents and even some annuals.
- The American Root Company – These guys provide beneficial, high performing organic products for your soil; Think: Mycorrhizae.
Take a Sneak Peek at the New Produce Shop
Coming soon, we’ll have the new Farm & Produce Shop. The Farm Shop will be open the same hours as the Nursery. You’ll be able to get fresh produce from our farm, and once the growing season really picks up, produce and goods from other local farmers too! Keep an eye on this location – it’s about to get interesting!!
Live Music: Rachel Stewart
From late morning until mid afternoon, Rachel Stewart will be playing her Live Music at the Nursery.
Rachel Stewart is an up-and-coming musician/song writer from right here in Franklin NC. She has a style of light, acoustic pop and rock. Right now she is doing performances around town, and is working on booking more venues to play and possibly doing some recording in the near future.
The Brew Dawgz Food Cart
Running from 11:30 into the mid afternoon, the Brew Dawgz Food Cart will be onsite serving up their Farm-to-Cart Gourmet Sausages, Hot Dogs and Pressed Sandwiches. They specialize in locally-sourced foods and make every effort to serve y’all the best product possible!
